There is a wealth of different walks inland too, once you?ve walked the coastline. Soak up the atmosphere in the thriving market town of Bridport as you walk to Askerswell towards the Roman Fort at Eggardon Hill, through Powerstock Common and Dorset Wildlife Trust?s Reserve to Mapperton Gardens for a cup of tea, then across the fields back to Symondsbury Manor beneath Colmer's Hill. Symondsbury is also only a short drive from Lyme Regis, an unspoiled seaside resort and fishing port on the world famous Cobb harbour.

Chalet Chatelet Chalet Châtelet is a luxury eco-chalet on the Swiss border of the French Alps with a cosy, relaxed atmosphere in spectacular uninterrupted mountain panorama. There are two double and two triple bedrooms, each with a magnificent view. Two of the rooms have en suite bathrooms and there is an additional bathroom and an extra single bed with a shower - maximum capacity of 11 people.
On the first floor, a spacious sitting room, with huge comfy corner sofa give you plenty of space to relax, with a state of the art LED home cinema system, SKY+HD, ipod docking and Wifi throughout the chalet. There is an 18m2 southwest-facing balcony where you can sit and enjoy the sun and fresh mountain air. On the ground floor, as well as the dining room, there is an indoor two person infrared sauna with adjacent power shower and access to the terrace and garden with table football and table tennis. There is plenty of parking and shelter for bikes.
We set you up with a hearty breakfast and are able of provide a delicious dinner cooked with local and organic ingredients and served with specially selected wine on request, booked in advance. Three course evening meal with wine is 30 euro per night. Situated in the heart of the mountains, just over an hour from Geneva, on the edge of a lovely authentic alpine village in the northern part of the French Alps, the chalet is set back off a very quiet road and the large garden is surrounded by agricultural land. The gorgeous Vallée d'Abondance, is famous for its spectacular scenery, cheese making and restaurants. We are 20 minutes drive from Chatel.
